This is a really tricky one. Given the amount of time we spend at work, a friendless environment sounds rather bleak. And I have, in the past, built up some great, long-lasting friendships with people who were once colleagues. But I have found that, the more corporate the environment, the less chance there is of making meaningful friendships. There is always a power dynamic, and often there is little in common other than that you both happen to be working there.
