One consolation of bad dating experiences is they hopefully reduce the chances of ending up in terrible situations like men just walking out after fifteen years, leaving three kids and a big mortgage behind. On the scale of badness, that has to be worse. Or, at least, that's what I told myself when dating in London; it was great if you were looking for a good time (I don't just mean by that sex), but if you were looking for a relationship it would have been a bit of a struggle tbh.
