I've never understood the trend to prioritise advice from peers over elders. I do the opposite: the more years lived, the more considered the advice. Also: I don't know why, but I think the advice lands more gently if said by someone who has seen more of life. Maybe it's a tutelage dynamic. Or a familial dynamic. Not sure but will reflect.
