Interesting article, I enjoyed reading it. I'm with you on a scenario like late at night on a quiet street, if you're a guy walking behind a (young) woman, the socially responsible thing to do is to cross the street and walk on the other sidewalk. But asking men to think of their behaviour as potentially threatening (or perceived as threatening) is IMHO a step too far in the other direction. We're going to end up with a generation of men who are afraid of their own shadow.
