I'm beginning to think the whole "workplace leadership" paradigm is just bullshit from top to bottom: it's not leadership, it's performance incentivisation or, bluntly put, management. But no one wants to be the "manager" these days because it as a word makes clear most people have very autonomy over their own lives.
