I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've counselled a couple of friends over the years to cheat on their partner—I'm totally against cheating (the betrayal causes terrible damage) but both friends were on the cusp of tossing aside excellent relationships just because they were feeling a bit bored... I don't know whether they did or not (I make of point of never asking) but both relationships are still going strong.
