I love 4321, it's such a great novel. I was sorry it didn't win the Booker Prize, for which it was nominated. I thought it more than deserved to. I'm a big Paul Auster generally. Interestingly, 4321 struck me as a bit of a departure in terms of his writing style, although I suppose his preoccupation with chance and fate is absolutely at the centre of 4321, so there is authorial continuity in that respect.
