I enjoyed this very much. I've always been surprised that stoicism broke through into the mainstream for 21st century questions about how to live. Not least because the version of selfhood commonly associated with stoicism doesn't seem an especially good fit for current attitudes towards individualism (and, to an extent, identity politics). But, as you say, there is a more interesting answer available to us if we go back to the source material and re-engage with stoicism as part of the non-dualist philosophical tradition.
