Beautifully put. Your decision was clearly very carefully thought through and — my goodness — after twenty-five years no one can say you didn't try! I suspect that the reason why some people (but by no means all) think of divorce as "failure" is because a lot of people seem to stay married for basically a nanosecond and then move onto the next one.
