100% spot on. And it's not that there aren't very talented, commercially sophisticated in global corporations, law firms and banks. But without the willingness and ability to operate in the ways you identify, you're wasting your time, and probably miserable. I know some exceptionally clever people who thrive in very large organisations. And I know at least as large a pool of similarly exceptionally talented people who get out of them as fast as humanly possible, which in today's job market usually means after two, possibly three years.
